Presenter and Conductor Quotes

I have had the pleasure of working with Amit Peled several times, and the collaborations have always been inspiring and deeply meaningful. He always searches for the meaning behind the notes, and it is this quality that has led to consistently memorable performances, and left lasting Impressions with both musicians and audiences.

It was a joy to welcome Amit back to Tucson. He brought the house down with a commanding performance of the Dvořák Concerto.

It is always a thrill to welcome Amit back to Tucson. The artistic collaboration that we have enjoyed is invigorating for the orchestra and the audience, and the partnership we have formed is one that will last for many years to come. It is Mr. Peled’s instrumental mastery, artistry, and generous musical spirit that has made this possible.
Benjamin Nisbet, Artistic Administrator and Orchestra Manager

Amit Peled was scheduled to play with me and the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony in the 20-21 season. Alas, this was postponed due to the pandemic. I immediately re-invited him for this season where he, the orchestra and I just performed the Dvořák Cello Concerto. I am glad I did so. We have worked together on several occasions now, but perhaps this was Amit at his most inspired. This is a work which lives inside him and with which he tells a captivating story, always in a newly considered and fresh way.

Amit Peled is a humble but quite remarkable artist whose talent and musicianship live in service to the music he played with us. He is always learning, and he is eager to share—through outreach with younger children, interviews on public radio, pre-concert talks with the conductor, and in his very warm playing. His personality is equally warm, and our audiences loved him.
Paul Hegland, Executive Director
Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra

Amit is everything you could ask for in a guest artist. Extraordinary artistry, a profound communicator with audiences, and a deep commitment to engage students at every level. The FSO is proud to feature him as often as possible.
